The Cook does so by controlling daily and weekly inventories and conducts tasks to see to it that guests will have the level of food and beverage service.** ****WHAT YOU WILL DO:**** * **Maintain an active role in the smoothness and efficiency of retail restaurant operations by producing and coordinating the production of food items needed for daily menus and special events** * **Control daily and weekly inventories** * **Maintain team awareness of inventory cost and profitability through proper use of production, build-to, and order sheets** * **Checks in with supervisor for any special preparation needed before starting normal kitchen task** * **Perform job responsibilities normally associated with those of a cook, including:** * **Coordinate production of daily menu items using menu count and production (or build-to sheets) to help control waste** * **Check inventory of all menus** * **Communicate supply needs for production with head cook** * **Maintain a clean and organized work
