What They're Looking For.
Must Have
one or more years of work experience in production cooking, learn and follow established policies and procedures, read and understand written and verbal instruction, communicate effectively, perform simple math calculations, learn food handling regulations, pass certification tests as required, perform tasks within limited time frames, follow production and cleaning schedules, use chemicals safely, read thermometers, follow safety requirements, 18 yrs of age or older
Nice to Have
High school diploma/GED or equivalent working knowledge, Additional related education and/or experience
What You'll Do.
Prepare food items following standardized recipes
Prepare and cook hot and cold food items
Calculate production quantities
Record over production and run outs
Check and log food temperatures
Check and log equipment temperatures
Report needed equipment repair
Maintain par levels of food and supplies
Order and/or restock items
Check freshness dates
Keep assigned work areas clean
Keep assigned work areas orderly
Assist other kitchen and dietary staff
Oversee the scheduled shift for efficiency
