SUMMARY: The Controls Service Technician will provide technician support for Building Automation Systems (BAS), service contracts, monitoring contracts, system upgrade, facility up-fits, and controls related time and material jobs. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following. Other duties may be assigned. Follows the work schedule as directed by the Resource Coordinator. Responsible for installing, servicing and commissioning products and systems on assigned projects and ensuring customer satisfaction. Uses a variety of hand tools and meters, follows blueprints or engineering specifications, to install, diagnose, repair, and program Building Automation Systems. Performs preventive maintenance, site surveys, replacement and modifications of systems and equipment as needed or requested by customers. Prepares for on-site installation and repairs by examining building layout, anticipating difficulties, gathering materials and coordinating on-site work Maintains Building Automation Systems by inspecting Trend Logs, Reports, Time of Day Schedules, Applications, Hardware and Programming. Communicates job status and documents work by completing paperwork
