What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Working knowledge of PLC systems (Siemens – S7, TIA Portal), 5+ years hands-on experience within an industrial automation environment, Experience leading project teams on complex projects, Good understanding of project planning, execution, and handover processes, Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and Mechanical/Electrical drawings
Nice to Have
Understanding / Qualification in Machinery Safety, Experience in a similar role, Working knowledge of ISO standards governing the automated warehouse industry, Degree in Engineering (or equivalent technical education)

The Controls Lead Engineer manages all engineering activities of a project related to Controls Hardware and Software in order to ensure that relevant deliverables are in time, scope, quality and budget and adhere to established standards. The Controls Lead Engineer estimates and manages controls engineering-related project risks, he owns the related planning and scheduling and acts as point of contact for controls engineering. The Controls Lead Engineer functionally reports to the Project Manager in the respective projects or, if appointed, to a Project Lead Engineer.
