As a Controls Engineer I, you will not only support these systems - you will help build, test, and bring them to life. Global exposure & hands-on experience: * Work on large-scale automation systems across North America and globally * Travel to customer sites for commissioning and system startup * Collaborate with cross-functional teams (mechanical, electrical, software) Role Purpose: To apply professional programming knowledge and skills to project machine control programming, primarily within the high-speed sorter division relating to the sorter control system; and work closely with Mechanical Engineering, Software Developers, Electrical Engineering, Project Management and Customer Support. Responsibilities: * Understand customer requirements and translate them into control system solutions and programmatic designs. * Design and program machine controls for all types of BEUMER sorters, palletizers, and Stretch Hood machines using BEUMER standard machine control code. * Design and program operator panels and HMI systems. * Assist in PLC programming and utilize AI copilots to generate, refine, and optimize PLC logic structures, code efficiency, readability, and docume
