We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Controls Engineer to join our dynamic Operational Technology team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in control systems design, automation, and programming. This role will involve working closely with cross-functional teams to develop, implement, and optimize control strategies for the utility-scale solar sites we manage. Key Responsibilities: Controls System Design: Collaborate with control room operators, field personnel, engineers and the OT team and electrical, and software engineers to design, develop and optimize control systems for solar sites Design and modify control architectures, including selection and integration of sensors, actuators, PLCs, RTACs and other hardware components Develop and implement control algorithms to achieve desired system performance, accuracy, and reliability Programming and Implementation: Program and configure PLCs, HMIs, SCADA systems, and other control devices to execute desired control strategies Script and implement software for automated control, data acquisition, and real-time monitoring Troubleshoot and debug control software to ensure smooth system operation.
