The Controls Commissioning Engineer will be responsible for the design, implementation, commissioning and support of controls systems for material handling and automation projects, working both on-site and remotely. # **We offer:** * Career Development * Competitive Compensation and Benefits * Pay Transparency * Global Opportunities Learn More Here: [https://www.dematic.com/en-us/about/careers/what-we-offer/ ](https://www.dematic.com/en-us/about/careers/what-we-offer/) # **Tasks and Qualifications:** ## **Key Responsibilities** * Design and deliver the **controls aspects of material handling systems** for Dematic Enhancement, Modernisation and Upgrade projects, in line with specifications, timelines and budgets. * Develop, implement and support **hardware and software solutions** , including controls design, PLC software and commissioning activities. * Provide **end-to-end controls solutions** , covering electrical design, software design and on-site commissioning. * Work effectively on **live customer sites** , ensuring minimal disruption to operations while respecting project scope and safety standards. * Support fault finding, system investigations and **controls troubleshooting** when required. * Perform **site supervisory duties** on controls projects when necessary. * Support the **Sales team** with controls-related cost estimates, design concepts and spare parts recommendations. * Maintain Dematic’s image as a **high-quality, professional organisation** , adopting an honest, proactive and customer-focused approach. ​ ## **Requirements & Qualifications** * Education to a minimum of **HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering** or a related discipline. * Hands-on experience in a similar role within an **automation-based industry** , ideally in automated warehouse or intralogistics environments. * Advanced knowledge of **PLCs** (Siemens and/or Allen Bradley). * Strong understanding of **fieldbus systems and I/O equipment** (e.g. Profibus, Profinet, ASi, TCP/IP). * Advan
