Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Own the full financial close process (monthly, quarterly, annual), ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and strong documentation standards. Prepare and maintain financial statements, reconciliations, internal controls, and audit-ready reporting infrastructure. Lead revenue recognition across SaaS subscriptions, usage-based AI revenue, and payment platform economics under ASC 606. Oversee order-to-cash processes, including billing systems (e.g., Stripe), invoicing, settlements, refunds, and reconciliation to the general ledger. Manage cash flow forecasting, liquidity planning, and compliance with debt facility covenants and lender reporting requirements. Drive multi-state and international tax compliance, including SaaS taxability, indirect taxes, and emerging global obligations (VAT, GST, HST). Coordinate accounting operations including payroll, AP/AR, equity processing, and cash management. Partner with engineering and data teams to improve financial systems, automation, and data integrity across the tech stack. Requirements: 8+ years of progressive accounting experience with ownership of close, reporting, and revenue recognition processes. CPA certification required. Deep expertise in ASC 606, including SaaS subscription models, usage-based pricing, and multi-element arrangements. Strong understanding of order-to-cash cycles, particularly in Stripe or similar billing environments. Experience managing debt facilities, including covenant compliance and lender reporting. Hands-on experience with multi-state tax compliance and exposure to international tax frameworks. Familiarity with modern finance systems and data environments (e.g., ERP systems such as NetSuite or similar). Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex financial data into clear insights for non-finance stakeholders.
