What They're Looking For.

Must Have

10 years of progressive accounting experience, Big Four public accounting firm experience, Private side investment management hedge fund experience, Active CPA license required, Bachelor's degree, US GAAP knowledge, Investment company accounting knowledge, Valuation knowledge, Expense allocations knowledge, Fee calculations knowledge, Side pockets knowledge, Partnership/series accounting knowledge, Experience leading financial reporting for complex fund structures, Experience leading audits for complex fund structures, Form PF knowledge, Form ADV knowledge, Annex IV knowledge, CIMA knowledge, 13F knowledge, 13H knowledge, Advanced Excel experience, Portfolio accounting systems experience, Fund administration systems experience, Exceptional attention to detail, Organizational skills, Ownership mindset, Written communication skills, Verbal communication skills

Nice to Have

Master's degree, MBA, Other advanced degree, 1-2 direct reports experience, Experience with modern AI tools (Claude, ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.), Track record of using AI tools to drive efficiency, Curiosity about and willingness to adopt new AI-enabled tools

What You'll Do.

Oversee month-end NAV close

Review daily and monthly reconciliations

Oversee additional reporting obligations

Oversee booking of private investments

Monitor private investments

Coordinate fee calculations

Substantiate investor capital balances

Respond to investor inquiries

Lead regulatory filing process

Support tax compliance

Design internal controls

Implement internal controls

Improve internal controls

Identify process improvements

Lead systems improvements

Manage direct reports

Mentor direct reports

Develop direct reports

Serve as key point of contact

Manage service-provider performance

Support ad-hoc projects

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Work closely with fund administrators; Work closely with service providers; Coordinate with fund administrators; Respond to investor inquiries in coordination with Investor Relations; Partner with the tax team; Manage, mentor, and develop direct reports; Serve as a key point of contact for external service providers; Interface effectively across internal teams; Interface effectively with fund administrators; Interface effectively with auditors; Interface effectively with external service providers

Communication Scope

Written communication skills; Verbal communication skills; Ability to interface effectively across internal teams, fund administrators, auditors, and external service providers

Process & Methodology
