## Description GHJ Search and Staffing serves as the recruitment division of GHJ, a prominent national accounting and advisory firm. Our team provides qualified Accounting and Finance professionals on a temporary and permanent basis across a broad range of industries. GHJ’s relationship with our Global Advisory and Accounting Network provides the resources needed to better understand client’s needs, attract a higher caliber of candidates and assess candidate potential. ## Responsibilities Oversee daily accounting operations, including general ledger, accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll functions Manage month-end and year-end close processes to ensure timely and accurate reporting Prepare and review financial statements and supporting schedules Perform account reconciliations and resolve discrepancies Ensure compliance with accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls Support budgeting, forecasting, and cash flow analysis Assist with audit preparation and provide requested documentation Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency Partner cross-functionally with leadership to support operational and financial initiatives Provide guidance and support to accounting staff as needed ## Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field 7+ years of progressive accounting experience Prior Controller or accounting leadership experience preferred Strong knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting Experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills Ability to quickly learn processes and operate independently Strong attention to detail, analytical, and organizational skills Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities
