What They're Looking For.

Must Have

Minimum 5-7 years relevant experience (demonstrable under contracts and/or commercial), Knowledge of technical, contractual and commercial disciplines connected with Engineering, Procurement and Construction (“EPC”) projects, Experience in the offshore oil & gas industry or upstream oil and gas experience working for owner and contractor organisations in a project delivery environment, Experience in EPC Contracts, Engineering, fabrication / construction contracts, transportation and installation contracts and commissioning contracts

Nice to Have

Master’s Degree in a relevant subject such as Construction Law, Business Administration or Economics will be of value, Law and contract law as part of academic studies is preferred, Experience in vessel chartering and/or offshore construction / installation

What You'll Do.

managing low risk and/or small-size contracts

supporting commercial / contracts negotiations

management of logs and files

preparation of RFQs/RFPs for low risk and/or small-size contracts

monitor the prequalification of new subcontractors

Lead negotiations and manage low risk contracts

Drafting of internal approval sheet and obtaining the various levels of approval for all contracts

Post award subcontract management

drafting and/or review and approval of subcontract notices

change requests and change orders formalization of subcontract closeout

Handles contracts that are less than USD 3-5 Million in value in an independent role from bidding to contract award to contract administration as well as its closeout

run reports and generate commercial data sets

plan and execute tasks on an assigned activity basis

or as directed by FPSO Project Contracts Manager or a Corporate Contracts & Commercial Manager

Support line management for corporate / project contracts team; Establish high quality cooperation and team work; Collaborates with others to achieve tasks and goals that benefit the organisation; Fosters cooperation and transparency across teams, functions, entities, countries and regions; Commencing to interact with external stakeholders; Effectively leading engagement opposite contractors for small-size (value, risk, complexity) contracts; internal networking skills; Frequent interaction with peers; Confidently works in team; Typically assigned to assist a Contracts Manager; Contracts Specialist personnel perform a key role in the Project Contracts Team or Corporate Contracts Team; provide contractual and commercial guidance to the project team and/or corporate team; Typically assigned to assist an FPSO Project Contracts Manager or a Corporate Contracts & Commercial Manager; May be assigned to assist with other commercial / contracts activities within the MODEC Group; Operationally reports to a line Contracts Manager, as assigned by the Contracts & Commercial Head of Department
