Must Have
B.S. in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, or equivalent, 1-3+ years of experience in biopharma industry, Experience in protein purification, Experience in scale up/down, Experience in process and analytical characterization, Comprehension of downstream processes at small to intermediate scale of cGMP biologics production, Ability to work independently, Ability to work as part of a cross-functional team, Good oral communication skills, Good written communication skills, Ability to adapt to frequent change, Ability to thrive in a dynamic early-stage environment, Communication skills, Organization skills, Knowledge of MS Office, Knowledge of data plotting and graphing software, Ability to communicate results effectively
Nice to Have
Graduate degree (MS and PhD), Hands-on experience with purification unit operations including filtration, chromatography, TFF, UF/DF, Hands-on experience with AKTA, Hands-on experience with UNICORN, Hands-on experience with HPLC systems, Familiarity with automated chromatography platforms (e.g., Cytiva AKTA)
What You'll Do.
Support early stage process development
Act as interface with Research and CMC
Execute and develop downstream processes
Develop downstream purification processes
Provide and analyze data for tech transfer
Perform hands-on execution and optimization
Generate and analyze process and analytical data
Execute routine scale down protein purification
Manage drug substance inventory
Manage protein intermediate inventory
Explore novel purification processes
Perform small-scale studies
Perform pilot scale purification studies
Maintain laboratory notebooks
Maintain digital records
Present data at meetings
Operate process equipment
Troubleshoot process equipment
Perform process scaling
Perform technology transfer
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Act as interface with Research and CMC organizations; Work within the DSP group; Work with Co-Ops; Present data at process development and CMC department meetings; Work as part of a cross-functional team
