Full Job Description
## Accountabilities Develop, curate, screen, and edit digital content for an internet-based platform, ensuring quality, relevance, and alignment with editorial standards. Produce and refine a variety of content formats, including articles, video content, and advertising materials, across digital channels. Research regional and topical media sources to identify newsworthy angles, trends, and content opportunities. Evaluate and screen content nominations to determine suitability for publication and audience engagement. Apply journalism editing principles to ensure accuracy, clarity, consistency, and adherence to editorial guidelines. Perform technical publishing tasks associated with online content management systems and digital media workflows. Support operational content needs in a fast-paced environment, including flexible or on-call assignments when required. Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, English, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience). At least 5 years of experience in content creation, journalism, editorial work, or digital publishing environments. Strong background in writing and/or editing for online or print media, with a preference for candidates with journalism or science journalism experience. Excellent command of English with strong creative writing and editorial skills. Solid understanding of journalism editing standards and content quality principles. Ability to create and adapt content across multiple formats, including written, visual, and multimedia assets. Strong research and analytical skills with the ability to identify relevant content angles and evaluate source material. Comfort working in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments with occasional non-standard hours. Benefits: Competitive salary range: $102,000 – $138,000 annually (based on experience and location).
