What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Extensive E&S property underwriting experience, Expertise in complex property classes, Foundation in property underwriting fundamentals
Nice to Have
CFA charterholder preferred, Series 7 license a bonus, Bloomberg proficiency preferred
What You'll Do.
Drive sales and underwriting relationship
Provide input for strategic underwriting plans
Provide business forecasting
Achieve established goals for assigned programs
Analyze program manager relationships/results
Recommend corrective actions
Identify new business opportunities
Review complex individual risks
Review complex programs
Review program referrals
Decline or accept business
Develop adequate premium charge
Determine appropriate endorsements
Determine appropriate exclusions
Engage in discussions with re-insurers
Compile data for reinsurers presentations
Develop underwriting guidelines
Develop product endorsements
Assist in development of department policies
Assist in development of underwriting methodologies
Interact with business partners
Achieve company goals and objectives
Resolve escalated issues
Communicate program initiatives
Conduct audits of individual risks
Conduct audits of programs
Resolve advanced complex technical issues
Establish and maintain relationships with Program Managers
Generate growth and profitability
Travel to program manager offices
Entertain Program Managers
Lead implementation of new programs
Develop underwriting guidelines for new programs
Develop form/rate filings for new programs
Ensure compliance/regulatory matters for new programs
Ensure finance integration for new programs
Ensure reinsurance integration for new programs
Ensure claims integration for new programs
Ensure legal integration for new programs
Ensure accounting integration for new programs
Ensure actuarial integration for new programs
Ensure marketing integration for new programs
Promote E&S/S Programs brand
Promote capabilities of programs team
