### **Consultant Paediatrician** **Regional Western Australia | Full Time** A major **regional health service in Western Australia** is seeking a dedicated and highly skilled **Consultant Paediatrician** to join its expanding team. This is an exceptional opportunity for a motivated clinician who is passionate about delivering high-quality paediatric and neonatal care while making a meaningful impact in rural and remote communities. This role is ideal for a paediatrician who thrives on variety, values autonomy, and enjoys the challenge and reward of practising in a diverse regional environment. ### **The Opportunity** Working as part of a supportive and collegial paediatric team, you will provide specialist care across inpatient, outpatient, emergency, and neonatal settings. You will also deliver outreach services to surrounding regional and remote communities—ensuring equitable access to paediatric healthcare for families who need it most. This position offers an excellent balance of clinical leadership, teaching, acute care exposure, and community-focused practice. ### **Key Responsibilities** ✔ Deliver high-quality care to paediatric and neonatal patients ✔ Participate in on-call roster, providing acute and emergency support ✔ Lead and mentor junior doctors and contribute to their professional development ✔ Support service improvement, governance, and clinical innovation ✔ Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams across the region ✔ Provide outreach clinics to surrounding regional and remote communities ✔ Uphold culturally safe, equitable care for Aboriginal children and families ### **About You** You are a consultant paediatrician who brings: * Fellowship of the **Royal Australasian College of Physicians (FRACP)** in Paediatrics, or equivalent * **AHPRA Specialist Registration** (or eligibility to obtain) * Strong expertise in acute and chronic paediatric medicine * Experience and interest in neonatal care, developmental paediatrics, and community health
