### **Consultant Paediatrician** A major hospital in Northern Australia is seeking an experienced and dedicated **Consultant Paediatrician** to join its dynamic and rapidly evolving Child Health Service. This role is ideal for a paediatrician passionate about acute care, Indigenous health, rural outreach, and delivering high-impact medicine within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment. ### **The Opportunity** You will join a skilled team providing paediatric care across: * A busy paediatric inpatient unit * Special Care Nursery / neonatal resuscitation * Paediatric emergency consults * Outpatient and specialty clinics * Remote and rural outreach (in-person and via telehealth) This hospital is a key referral centre for complex paediatric presentations across remote communities, offering a rare blend of tertiary-level medicine and meaningful community impact. ### **Key Responsibilities** ✔ Deliver specialist-level paediatric care for infants, children, and adolescents ✔ Participate in on-call roster for paediatric emergencies and neonatal cover ✔ Support outreach clinics to regional and remote communities ✔ Work closely with medical, nursing, and allied health teams in a collaborative model ✔ Provide clinical supervision and teaching to registrars, junior doctors, and students ✔ Contribute to quality improvement, clinical governance, and service development ✔ Deliver culturally safe, family-centred care with a strong commitment to improving health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children ### **About You** We are seeking a Paediatrician who brings: * **FRACP in General Paediatrics** , or equivalent * **AHPRA Specialist Registration** (or eligibility) * Strong experience in acute paediatrics and neonatal resuscitation * Interest or experience in Indigenous health and rural/re
