What They're Looking For.
Must Have
1–3 years of relevant IT experience, university degree or college diploma in a relevant discipline
Nice to Have
exposure to operational risk or technology governance, familiarity with ITIL, COBIT, and ISO standards
What You'll Do.
Conduct operational risk (Gating) assessments for projects and infrastructure changes
ensuring compliance with CIBC’s operational standards
and communicate risks throughout the application development lifecycle
preparing executive dashboards
managing Gating documentation
supporting process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of operational risk management
contribute to the development and automation of tools
support internal audit requirements through regular and ad hoc reporting

You’ll conduct operational risk (Gating) assessments for projects and infrastructure changes, ensuring compliance with CIBC’s operational standards. Collaborating with Portfolio Leads, service providers, and operations teams, you’ll help identify, assess, and communicate risks throughout the application development lifecycle. Your work will include preparing executive dashboards, managing Gating documentation, and supporting process improvements to enhance the effectiveness of operational risk management.
