25% Travel Required, Must be local to the Kansas City, KS area (within 50 miles), Work is mostly remote with visits to the Great Lakes & Central Regional offices required, Candidate is expected to travel as required to meet with FAA clients, assigned employees, and monitor assigned projects, Travel requirements are not expected to exceed one week per month, Must be able to meet customer security requirements, A background check by federal authorities will be performed
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
15+ years of professional experience, 4-year degree from an accredited college or university in Engineering or related field, A broad general engineering background, project/program management experience on similar project types, Proven ability to perform in a management capacity, excellent written and oral communications skills, a thorough knowledge of industry practices and regulations, a thorough knowledge of current technology, ability to select and apply appropriate engineering software for use on projects, Proven ability in team building, problem solving, conflict resolution
Nice to Have
Experience working on FAA or aviation projects
What You'll Do.
Manages the day-to-day operations of a regional office
Acts as the Company representative with the client and selected subcontractors during the program execution
Manages a staff of technical employees
Monitors the performance of all team members and augments staff as necessary
Develops staff through applied training and mentorship
Manages incoming work requests from local clients
Oversees the implementation and execution of all project processes and procedures
Promotes technical excellence on the project through application of Quality Assurance processes
Monitors and reports to National Program management on the progress of all project activity within the program
