Position Overview: Join Woolpert as a Construction Project Surveyor & Crew Coordinator to join our Survey and Geomatics team in our Columbus, Ohio office. This role is responsible for overseeing construction-focused survey planning, field data collection, and directing field crews performing layout, staking, and as-built surveys. The Construction Project Surveyor & Crew Coordinator serves as a key link between office and field, ensuring survey operations align with project schedules, construction sequencing, and contractor needs. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced, construction-driven environments. Responsibilities include pricing and scoping, coordination with internal teams and external clients, equipment and fleet management, and scheduling field crews to meet aggressive construction timelines. The ideal candidate has strong knowledge of construction staking, control establishment, transportation and site development projects, subsurface utility coordination, and field logistics. The candidate should have foundational knowledge of construction survey services, topographic, control/geodetic, transportation, subsurface utility, boundary/ROW determination, and ALTA surveying, technical and logistical aspects of vehicle fleet and equipment management.
