GREF’s Workplace Design and Construction team is looking for a Construction Manager to drive construction services on projects, including tenant improvements, new builds, expansions, and renovations of Amazon corporate facilities. Responsible for delivery of projects from outset of design through operational turnover, this individual must be comfortable operating on both strategic and tactical levels, an internal ambassador, educator, analyst, solutions architect, and implementer. This role collaborates with leadership and other stakeholders to set a budget and schedule, then drive project objectives, scope, space allocation, cost, prioritization and sequencing of requests all within the set parameters. All of this is accomplished by building strong project teams that thrive and excel through collaboration. Manage contractor performance to ensure timely completion, compliance with cost requirements, organizational standards and other requirements and regulations. Key job responsibilities - Represent GREF to internal customers for the delivery of their space. - Work closely with and influence internal and external stakeholders including architects, consultants, contractors, and subcontractors to ensure decisions are made at the appropriate level and Amazon’s priorities are always the driving factor. - Provide management of design and construction projects, which may include the following: - Develop and implement project strategies and ensure appropriate resources are allocated to complete the project in accordance with the strategy. Develop and maintain project timelines. - Lead project meetings and progress reviews. - Provide feedback to design guidelines, including minimum specifications, basis of design for various building systems, etc. - Guidance of construction, including selection of contractors, contract negotiations, approvals of budgets, change orders, procurement and contracting methods, schedule, and subcontractors. - Evaluations, approvals, or rejections
