What They're Looking For.

Must Have

6 years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry, Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience, Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point, project), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment, Able to execute projects of higher project and contract complexity

Nice to Have

Management experience with projects related to Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems, Experience with executing projects within healthcare industry/market, Expectation that PMI/PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional) certification will be obtained within 2 years of employment in the position, Experience in dealing with a large and diverse number of simultaneous challenges, requiring knowledge of many different disciplines, Bachelor’s degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management or Architecture or an Associate’s Degree with equivalent work related experience, PMI/PMP Certification

Lead large HVAC Controls construction projects

Ensure projects are done accurately

Maintain positive cash flow

Ensure compliance with legal requirements

Adhere to safety standards

Follow project management procedures

Develop project schedules

billings and collections

Review contract Terms and Conditions

Analyze financial reporting systems

Manage risks and establish recovery plans

prepare and issue subcontracts

Ensure project document controls are in compliance

Oversee project construction for compliance

and delivery schedule of materials

Coordinate customer-training requirements

How You'll Work.

Team & Collaboration

Works with Owner and contractor sales managers and branch installation manager and teams; Coordinates with the CMS and HVAC Installation Manager, Systems Team Leader and / or Branch Mechanical Project Team Leader for allocation of resources; Develops and maintains viable long-term relationships with customers, consultants, prime contractors and subcontractors; Ensures subcontractors understand expectations; Interface with and provide direction to Truck Based team(s); Self-perform sales support activities

Communication Scope

Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience; Effectively communicates project progress, issues and financial status to management

Profitable execution of assigned Projects, Risk assessment, Scope enhancements, Value engineering, Project financial results, Project recovery plans, Project document controls, Project scheduling
