What You'll Achieve.
Profitable execution of assigned Projects; Ensures that assigned projects are done accurately, on-time, billed, within budget and within scope of the contract; Maintains positive cash flow; Maintains profitability goals and positive cash flow; Ensures any engineering and commissioning performed by the field team is in accordance with established standards
Industry & Context.
Proactively address potential problems; Establish project recovery plans; Resolve disputes with minimal need for escalation
Able to travel, Projects may exist outside of assigned geography
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
minimum of five years of direct project management experience in the Building Construction Industry, Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills, Able to travel, Personal Computer working capabilities in MS Office (excel, word, power point, project), Adobe Writer, Visio and basic Windows environment
Nice to Have
management experience with projects related to Mechanical Retrofits, HVAC controls, BAS management, Fire management, and Security management systems is desired, PMI/PMP (Project Management Institute, Project Management Professional) certification will be obtained within 2 years of employment in the position
What You'll Do.
Profitable execution of assigned Projects
Provide sales support activities
Ensure projects are accurate
within budget and within scope
Maintain positive cash flow
Ensure compliance with legal requirements and safety standards
Follow project management procedures and processes
Develop project schedules and execute according to plan
Evaluate contractual scope of work and impact of client changes
Analyze financial reporting systems and project schedules
Manage risks and establish project recovery plans
and issue subcontracts
Ensure project document controls are in compliance
Oversee project construction for compliance with specifications and codes
and delivery schedule of materials
Develop and maintain customer
and subcontractor relationships
Coordinate with internal teams for resource allocation
Facilitate escalation of product related problems
Assist with project development efforts
Coordinate customer-training requirements
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Works with Owner and contractor sales managers and branch installation manager and teams; Coordinates with the CMS and HVAC Installation Manager, Systems Team Leader and / or Branch Mechanical Project Team Leader for allocation of resources; Attends job progress meetings; Ensures subcontractors understand expectations; Interfaces with and provide direction to Truck Based team(s); Assists Area Management Team and / or sales in project development efforts
Communication Scope
Demonstrated verbal and written communication skills; Ability to communicate technical material to a non-technical audience
