What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor's degree in Construction, Civil, Mechanical, Electrical Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field, Expertise in Construction Management processes, 15 to 20 years of direct Project Management/Construction Management experience in the Building Construction Industry, Proven advanced skills in Construction/Project Management with the ability to oversee large projects, programs, and portfolios exceeding $50MM, Experience managing diverse simultaneous challenges across various disciplines, Demonstrated history of managing complex projects within time constraints and budgetary limits, Capability to oversee, coordinate, and supervise the construction process from concept to completion, In-depth understanding of contract language and project accounting, written and verbal communication skills, Exceptional presentation skills, able to engage large audiences effectively, Able to lead and direct diverse teams successfully, Proficiency with standard construction industry software, including Primavera P6, MS Project, and project reporting applications, Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint), Adobe Writer, Visio, and basic Windows environment
Nice to Have
Master's degree, Professional registration, Certification as a PMI Project Management Professional (PMP), Certification as a CM Professional from the Construction Management Association of America (CMAA), Certification as a Professional Constructor from the American Institute of Constructors, Professional recognition in selected industries, Understanding of military chain of command structure and necessary interactions with elected and appointed government officials, Familiarity with Federal and State procurement requirements
