We are currently looking for **Construction******Mechanics** **to be based in Canberra, ACT * Permanent roles * Reports to the Project Manager ## **About you** You will be face of Otis brand and responsible for the installation of lifts, escalators and travellators in compliance, with the relevant codes and Otis specifications and procedures. This position will require you to travel across regional areas within each state as needed on a project basis. In this role, you will work closely with other Installers, Electricians, Adjusters, Trade Assistants & Field Engineers as well as Construction Coordinators. ## **Key responsibilities** * Installation and Modernisation of lifts, escalators and travellators and work to the highest safety and environmental standards whilst ensuring that service targets are met. * Ensures work is performed in accordance with the relevant Codes, including SAA Lift Code AS1735 and AS3000 while performing work in accordance with the relevant Award and / or Enterprise Bargaining Agreement. * Maintain company tools, equipment and material in good order and safeguard such property. * Comply with the company Environmental Health and Safety policies and procedures including reporting any conditions which may impact on the environment or any employee. * Maintain and work to the Quality System and perform work in accordance with the relevant lift industry codes and standards. * Attend customer handing over inspection / service inspections on installation and modernization projects. * Ensure timely completion of defects identified during service / handing over inspection in co
