Full Job Description

The successful candidate will join the IDIQ & Construction Services Directorate to support the Center Maintenance, Operations, and Engineering Contract (CMOE) located at NASA Langley Research Center. The Construction Manager reports directly to the Construction Field Services Supervisor. All work will be performed with a high standard of quality and professionalism. All safety policies and procedures must be followed. **RESPONSIBILITIES** Daily project scheduling, technical review of submittals, coordination of subcontractor performance and compliance, coordination of facility access, facility activities and outages, and responsible for overall daily project safety and success. **QUALIFICATIONS** Position requires, completion of a Department of Professional and Occupational Regulation (DPOR) Apprenticeship program with a minimum of (10) years of related construction experience. Additional relevant education or construction experience may be substituted for any equivalent combination of education/experience for a total of ten (10) years. Proficient knowledge of Mechanical systems a must. Demonstrated ability to lead and direct work of others. Position requires comprehensive knowledge of curricula gained through long and varied work experience in field of specialty. Must be able to effectively communicate both orally and written with effective use of visual aids. Demonstrate leadership ability, along with good communication skills are required. Must be efficient in the use of Microsoft Office tools including Word, Excel, Outlook, and MS Project.
