What They're Looking For.
Must Have
10+ years’ experience as a Construction Manager on large scale rail or major infrastructure projects, Proficiency in reading and interpreting contract requirements, advanced communication skills (written and verbal), ability to maintain a professional and effective working relationship with the Project Owner, Project Team, and key stakeholders, Demonstrated advanced ability to engage teams and drive high performance, expert knowledge of construction safety standards, commitment to fostering a proactive safety culture, understanding of risk management, flexible, solutions-oriented approach, Ability to demonstrate a track record of successfully working within multidiscipline teams, Results oriented, extremely high work ethic, stringent quality standards, can-do attitude
What You'll Do.
Support Construction Director in developing project planning outputs
Manage and lead construction team to execute work safely
Monitor and track construction progress
Prepare progress reports
Verify and approve progress payments
Track and review changes during construction
Facilitate construction management meetings
Work with Engineering to facilitate solutions
Coordinate design and construction interfaces
Ensure construction completion and close-out documentation
Lead and promote health
and environmental culture
Conduct regular site inspections
Address hazards and unsafe conditions
Ensure proper incident reporting
Hold staff accountable for safe performance
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
cross-functional coordination; vendor/stakeholder management; work with Project Manager; Facilitate and run construction management meetings between Contractors, the Owner, Engineering, and other key stakeholders; Work with Engineering; coordinate design and construction interfaces with other subcontractors; working within multidiscipline teams
