What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum 4 years of experience in the electrical or construction trades field, High School Diploma or GED required, OSHA 10-Hour Safety Certification within 6 months of hire, CPR Certification current or obtained within 3 months of hire, NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Certification within 6 months of hire
Nice to Have
Vocational, technical, or construction-related training preferred, Experience as a Construction Electrician, Commercial Electrician, Industrial Electrician, or Electrical Technician preferred, Previous vocational training or teaching experience is a plus, CampusNexus experience is a plus
What You'll Do.
Provide classroom and hands-on lab instruction in core electrical concepts and construction trade practices
Teach students across topics including: Basic electricity
Electrical wiring methods
Conduit installation methods
Construction safety practices
Teach electrical trades classes on a regularly scheduled basis
Create a welcoming and engaging learning environment for students
Deliver hands-on instruction in classroom and lab settings
Assist with curriculum development and course material preparation
Maintain classroom tools
and instructional materials
Maintain accurate records of attendance
and required documentation on time
Support student retention and academic success initiatives
Participate in instructor training
and professional development
Assist with equipment and supply inventory management
Communicate student attendance concerns and performance issues to leadership
and organized training environment
Perform additional duties as assigned by leadership
