Progressive experience in accounting with leadership responsibility, knowledge of GAAP, knowledge of percentage-of-completion accounting, knowledge of construction financial practices, Experience with construction ERP systems, Experience with project-based accounting platforms, Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Advanced proficiency in financial reporting tools, Proven ability to lead teams, Proven ability to influence stakeholders, Proven ability to partner effectively with operations and executive leadership

## Description As our Controller, you will lead the financial operations of our construction business, providing strategic oversight and hands‑on leadership across all accounting functions. You will partner closely with executive leadership and project teams to ensure accurate financial reporting, strong internal controls, and actionable insights that support project performance and overall company profitability. Day‑to‑day, you will oversee the full accounting life cycle, including general ledger, job cost accounting, accounts payable and receivable, and payroll. You will manage the monthly and annual close processes, prepare and review GAAP‑compliant financial statements, and maintain the work‑in‑progress (WIP) schedule and revenue recognition. You will collaborate with project teams to monitor budgets, analyze cost variances, support owner billings, and ensure contract compliance, while also managing cash flow forecasting and maintaining relationships with lenders, auditors, and sureties. Experienced controllers in this role may take on expanded responsibility for advancing financial strategy and operational excellence. This includes leading system implementations or upgrades, improving reporting and dashboards, strengthening internal controls, and optimizing processes across accounting and project financial management. They play a key role in advising leadership on risk, profitability, and growth opportunities, while mentoring and developing accounting team members.
