Key job responsibilities • Collaborate with vendors/manufacturers to develop and evaluate new Fiber Optic solutions and come up with implementation plans for incorporating them into the network • Design and specify structured cabling systems (fiber, copper, cable trays/duct banks) for network layers at hyperscale data centers • Develop standards, reference designs, and installation guidelines for physical network/cabling deployments and structured cabling systems • Focus on ambiguous problem areas in existing or new network architecture and systems development initiatives, propose and deliver projects that have a significant business and/or customer impact • Manage fiber vendors and contractors; perform quality control and commissioning of fiber bundles and structured cabling systems • Perform mitigation analysis and site inspections to validate as-built conditions, ensuring compliance with design and operational requirements • Monitor network/system/link quality and build mechanism to remediate lar
