What They're Looking For.
Must Have
2-3 years previous catering and/or banquet assistant manager/captain experience, Excellent reading, writing and oral proficiency in the English language, High level of creativity, Attention to detail, Ability to handle multiple tasks and make decisions in a fast paced client driven environment, Ability to work long and irregular hours, weekends and evenings
Nice to Have
Basic knowledge of audio-visual equipment and Internet technology
What You'll Do.
Coordinate conference group requirements
Enforce sales letter of agreement terms
Guide meeting planners through planning process
Communicate client needs to hotel departments
Ensure successful execution of group
Negotiate with clients for revenue/profit
Conduct property tours and entertain planners
Plan and attend meetings with staff and clients
Coordinate with Sales and Catering for space utilization
Finalize confirmed booking requirements
Maximize revenue potential through up selling
Ensure effective communication with departments
Ensure accuracy of Banquet Checks
Provide bill review on completion
Prepare monthly booking report
Keep parties informed of problems
Supervise execution of banquet events
Review function space with banquet manager
Ensure client satisfaction at event outset
Respond to resort emergency or safety situation
Make timely and impromptu decisions

Process & Methodology
Guide meeting planners through the planning process, Ensure successful execution of group and client satisfaction, Plan and/or attend and/or participate in meetings with hotel staff and clients, Finalize the requirements of confirmed bookings, Ensure effective communication both written (Resumes, BEO, Daily Reports) and personal contact with all departments for the success of the event
