Must Have
An active in-scope TOP SECRET security clearance, BAS Degree in computer science/systems, information systems/ technology, engineering/engineering technology, software engineering/ programming, management, natural sciences, social sciences, mathematics, Education, English or Literature or business/finance, Minimum of four years of previous hands-on experience working with COMSEC, of which at least one year must be specialized, Must be able to obtain certification as a Technical Expert by the German Government under the Technical Expert Status Accreditation (TESA) process, Key Management Infrastructure (KMI) Certification, Must be a graduate of the COMSEC Custodian Course OR component equivalent course, Must be willing to work overtime, after hours, holidays, and weekends, as necessary, Understanding of US Air Force IT operational and technical requirements and an advanced understanding of US Air Force IT applications and network systems
Nice to Have
ITIL Foundation certification, Demonstrated experience with COMSEC account administration/management, Knowledgeable in the mission and OCONUS operational requirements of the US Air Force
What You'll Do.
Supporting the receipt
the destruction or COMSEC material
Assisting with shipping cryptographic products and key material weighing up to 50 pounds
Performing Field Tamper Recovery (FTR)
Upgrading cryptographic device firmware
Ensuring the interoperability of firmware versions between enterprise encryptors
and managing the General Dynamics GEM-X High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) Manager
Planning and executing Out-Of-Band-Key Transfer (OOBKT) for remote rekey of enterprise encryptors on multiple networks using GEM-X HAIPE Manager
Performing hands-on installation
configuration and troubleshooting of COMSEC equipment
Programming and operating approved key fill devices
including KIK-20 and KIK-30 and AN/CYZ-10
Performing Over-The-Air-Transfer (OTAT) of key material to remote sites using the General Dynamics Sectera vIPer and the L-3 Secure Terminal Equipment (STE)
Providing training and COMSEC oversight to local and remote site personnel
Providing incident response using multiple software applications
Participating in special projects as required

Overview: SOSI is seeking a COMSEC Custodian at Ramstein AFB, Germany in support of a large, mission-essential IT services program with continuous (24x7) operations. The candidate will assist our A6 clients with required systems that support IT mission environments. COMSEC Custodians need solid technical skills and experience for the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and, when necessary, the destruction of COMSEC material. COMSEC Custodians are responsible for the maintenance of up-to-date records and the submission of required accounting reports. Essential Job Duties: * Responsible for supporting the receipt, custody, issue, safeguarding, accounting for, and, when necessary, the destruction or COMSEC material. * Assists with shipping cryptographic products and key material weighing up to 50 pounds. * Use the Distributed Information Security (INFOSEC) Accounting System (DIAS). * Performs Field Tamper Recovery (FTR), upgrading cryptographic device firmware, and ensuring the interoperability of firmware versions between enterprise encryptors. * Knowledge of the General Dynamics TACLANE line of In-Line Network Encryptors (INE), to include the KG-175A, KG-175D and KG-175G. * Installs, deploys, uses, and manages the General Dynamics GEM-X High Assurance Internet Protocol Encryptor (HAIPE) Manager. * Plans and executes Out-Of-Band-Key Transfer (OOBKT) for remote rekey of enterprise encryptors on multiple networks using GEM-X HAIPE Manager. Requires experience in Suite-A and Suite-B network environments, architecture and key material requirements. * Reads and interprets complex network drawings and documentation as they relate to cryptographic requirements. * Performs hands-on installatio
