Must Have
Satisfactory completion of formal Radiologic Technology training in an American Medical Association (AMA) approved school or Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JCERT) accredited program, American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT) certification, Basic Life Support (BLS) certification within six weeks of employment, I.V. certification within six weeks of employment
Nice to Have
Computerized Tomography (CT) training or experience, CT certification obtained within two years, If working in North Dakota and performing medical imaging or radiation therapy procedures, licensure through the North Dakota Medical Imaging and Radiation Therapy (NDMIRT) Board, If working in Aberdeen, South Dakota (SD), CT certification is required within 24 months of hire, In the state of Iowa, all technologists must have a permit to practice through the Iowa Department of Public Health in order to practice in the state of Iowa

Performs diagnostic computed tomography (CT) scan images
Produces quality computed tomography exam images
Provides for patient care
initiates life support measure as necessary
operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans
perform related procedures and protocols
learn and utilize new technology
obtain information from patients or their responsible parties
develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status
Perform diagnostic radiology procedures
Perform basic diagnostic radiology tasks
May perform mobile imaging
electrocardiogram (EKG)
cardiac monitor placement
and dual energy x-ray absorptiometry (DEXA) procedures

Produces quality computed tomography exam images and exercise professional judgment in the performance of procedures. _**Job Description**_ **Work Shift:** **_Flexible scheduling with what works for you!_** 6:00 am - 4:00 pm, 8:00 am - 6:00 pm, or 11 am - 9:00 pm. Provides for patient care and initiates life support measure as necessary. Interacts effectively with patients, physicians, family members, department staff, and healthcare workers. Possesses the skills and knowledge to operate CT equipment to produce quality CT scans as well as the ability to perform related procedures and protocols. Has the ability to learn and utilize new technology as well as orient new employees. Possesses the ability to professionally obtain information from patients or their responsible parties to further improve their personalized treatment and care. On a continuum, the CT Technologist works to develop an understanding of the patient's physical and emotional status. Works well with all age groups. Sanford Rural Network Facilities sites may expand job responsibilities based on the needs of the facility, to include, but not limited to: on-call rotation nights, weekends, and holidays.
