What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Be onsite at Varex, Franklin Park Illinois Facility, NDT Level III certification in Computed Tomography (CT), Extensive experience performing and overseeing CT inspections, Expert user of Volume Graphics Studio Max, In-depth knowledge of CT equipment, software, and image analysis techniques, Understanding of materials, manufacturing processes, and relevant industry codes, Ability to read blueprints, mechanical drawings, and 3D models, Thorough understanding of industry standards, regulations, NADCAP requirements, ASTM standards, Bachelor's degree in engineering, materials science, or related field, 5+ years of relevant experience in CT inspections, Current certification as an NDT Level III in CT or ability to obtain LIII, Minimum experience: 4 years as a certified NDT L2 inspector, Able to lift/move up to 50 lbs occasionally, Able to lift, carry, push, pull, or move heavy equipment, Able to reach above and below shoulder, Above-average agility and dexterity, Able to hold, grasp and manipulate small parts, Able to use hand and power tools, Able to wear personal protective equipment (PPE), Able to work in environments with chemicals, electrical current, moving mechanical parts, Able to work in environments with repetitive hand motion and uneven surface, Valid driver’s license, US citizenship or permanent green card holder
Nice to Have
DOD security clearance is a plus, Experience with Linacs is highly desirable, Preference towards High Energy Linac technology
What You'll Do.
Conduct and oversee CT inspections
Interpret and analyze CT scan data
Identify and evaluate defects
Provide technical guidance and support to junior inspectors
Share knowledge and experience in High Energy Linac
Develop and review inspection procedures
Ensure compliance with relevant codes and standards
Stay abreast of advancements in CT technology
Incorporate best practices into inspection processes
Generate comprehensive inspection reports and documentation
Collaborate with clients to understand specific inspection requirements
Provide technical expertise to clients
Provide sales team guidance with quoting
