Must Have
Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering, US Citizen
Nice to Have
Experience in the design, analysis, and/or verification of aerospace mechanical components and/or systems, Experience in progressing designs/changes through a gated review process, Experience with gas turbine or turbomachinery power transmission components, including gears, rolling element bearings, shafts, and high-performance seals, Experience in dimensional tolerance stack-ups and Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), Knowledge of gas turbine subsystems and components and their function and operation

## **Job Description** **Job Title:** Component Design Engineer - Turbomachinery Transmissions **Working Pattern:** Full time **Working location:** Indianapolis, IN/Hybrid - 3 Office Days/Week) As a Component Design Engineer, you will be part of the Global Mechanical Systems Capability function. You will create engineering solutions that satisfy functional and physical requirements symptomatic of Product System and Sub-System level environments. Crucially, the engineered solutions must exhibit robustness for manufacturing capability. You’ll be responsible for the on-time delivery and quality of component design definition artifacts i.e., documents, models, definitions that meet system level and sub-system requirements. You will participate within an IPT described by Product Lifecycle System (PLS) and operate in accordance with applicable Rolls-Royce Management System (RRMS) policies and processes.
