What They're Looking For.
Must Have
US Citizen, Bachelor's degree in engineering, with 1+ years of experience, Master's degree in engineering, JD/PhD in Engineering
Nice to Have
Good interpersonal skills, effective teamwork, problem resolution skills, Good technical writing skills, Experience with component design methods, tools, and practices, CAD (NX Unigraphics or equivalent), Teamcenter, Systems Engineering tools, Knowledge of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T), tolerance stacks, Previous experience designing components manufactured using tube bending processes, Previous experience designing components manufactured using sheet metal fabrication processes, Previous experience designing components manufactured using composite fiber layups, Previous experience designing electrical harnesses, Experience working in a New Product Introduction environment, Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, experience working with all aspects of product design – customers, suppliers, other engineering specialties, shop floor personnel, etc.

Develop new component designs
Optimize concepts to final definition
Prepare technical presentations
Perform dimensional analyses
Support creation of drawings
Deliver hardware for validation
Release hardware to production
Perform analyses for gas turbine hardware
Present and defend design solutions
Support the supply chain
Support manufacturing
Perform investigations of hardware issues
