Job Summary The Compliance Manager for Access Control & Gate Systems serves as the primary resource for ensuring all access control systems, gate operators, and related low-voltage security installations meet all applicable codes, standards, permitting requirements, and regulations. This role oversees permitting and approval activities, and coordinates with Authorities Having Jurisdiction (AHJs) to ensure compliant system design with fire, electrical, life safety, and building codes. Additionally, this manager maintains critical compliance documentation and supports successful project execution from design through final inspection and approval. The ideal candidate is experienced in permitting, compliance, or code enforcement related to access control systems, gate operators, automated gates, and other low-voltage systems. Furthermore, the position requires a strong working knowledge of access control platforms and hardware (Lenel, Genetec, etc.), including the design and implementation of access control, fire/life safety, and electrical systems in commercial and industrial environments. What You'll Do: Review access control, gate operator, and low-voltage security system designs to ensure compliance with applicable building, fire, life safety, electrical, and industry standards. Interpret local, state, and federal code requirements and develop permitting strategies that support timely approvals across multiple jurisdictions.
