What You'll Achieve.
Ensure effective risk management and compliance with relevant laws, regulations, policies and procedures; Ensure compliance risk related to Governmental and Conservator obligations, laws and regulations are identified, addressed and mitigated; Ensure investigations are conducted with integrity, objectivity, and in compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards; Ensure consistent and defensible outcomes aligned to corporate policies

What They're Looking For.
Must Have
8+ years of overall experience in ethics, compliance, investigations, and risk management, Exceptional analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with the ability to think critically, Proficiency in using compliance tools in investigations and daily work, understanding of ethical risk areas including conflicts of interest, workplace conduct, misuse of information, and integrity breaches, Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to prepare executive ready investigation summaries, analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment and discretion and sensitive matters
What You'll Do.
Conducting investigations related to fraud
and ethical concerns within the organization
Investigating internal allegations and complaints of violations of Freddie Mac policy or applicable law
Interviewing witnesses
Gathering and reviewing relevant documents
Analyzing and synthesizing the information gathered to determine the facts
Assessing witness credibility
Preparing concise investigation reports
Making recommendations to management for remedial action
Updating the case tracking system
Assisting with reporting and analytics
Ensuring investigations are conducted with integrity
and in compliance with enterprise and regulatory standards
complete investigation records in the case management system
Staying updated on evolving financial crime trends
and industry best practices
and identifying operational improvements and enhancements through daily work and special projects
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaborate with various departments to ensure effective risk management and compliance; Collaborate with other investigative units within Freddie Mac as needed to support cross-functional investigations and/or provide surge support; Coordinate with Human Resources and/or Legal on corrective actions arising from internal investigations; Provide clear, concise summaries and recommendations to executive leadership, Legal, HR, Audit, and Risk partners; Partner with HR, Legal, Audit, and Compliance to ensure consistent and defensible outcomes aligned to corporate policies; Interact with internal business partners, senior management and other personnel on matters frequently requiring coordination across the lines of business; Collaborate effectively with colleagues at all levels across the enterprise; Engage with FHFA to ensure collaboration and transparency
Communication Scope
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills; Ability to prepare executive ready investigation summaries; Empathically communicate complex topics in a manner that is appropriate for the audience
