The Compliance Monitoring Department is looking for a data engineer based in Sofia, with strong analytical capabilities, coding proficiency and the ability to understand business processes & risks. In this role, you will design and develop data-driven solutions that enhance compliance and internal audit processes and controls, leveraging advanced analytics and programming skills, automate testing, improve risk detection, and support continuous monitoring. This is an opportunity to work on innovative projects using cutting-edge technologies such as Python, machine learning and AI frameworks, driving digital transformation and reinforcing regulatory compliance across the organization. Your role will mainly include the following: * Act as service provider and project manager for the Compliance and Internal Audit departments, delivering guidance assistance and on-going support * Understand compliance, audit and business processes, risks & control objectives * Translate business requirements into analytics solutions, identifying relevant data * Analyze large and complex data sets using advanced techniques (descriptive, predictive, prescriptive) to uncover patterns, detect anomalies, and reveal hidden correlations * Develop, schedule, and document code with a strong understanding of system databases and group methodologies & policies * Test and validate results with end users to ensure accuracy and usability * Monitor key risks continuously and maintain existing controls * Provide guidance and suppo
