What You'll Do.
supporting the Competition Policy team in providing legal advice relating to competition law
Support the successful execution of M&A the company undertakes
supporting on regulatory filings (merger control reviews
foreign direct investment/national security reviews
EU foreign subsidies regulation reviews)
providing competition law support during due diligence
reviewing relevant deal documentation
provide pre-closing guidance and antitrust support in integration workstreams
Provide legal and regulatory guidance in reviewing commercial contracts
support the team in advising on behavioural competition law matters (e. g. horizontal and vertical agreements)
Support the development and implementation of antitrust compliance programs and antitrust elements of policies
Support on regulatory issues relating to the industries Liberty Global is active in (telecommunications / energy / infrastructure / content)
Disseminate regulatory and competition law best practice and expertise within Liberty Global
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
collaborate with colleagues in the Legal and Corporate Affairs, M&A, Strategy, Content, and other key departments within Liberty Global; work with the legal and regulatory teams of Liberty Global’s operating companies and investments in Belgium, the Netherlands, UK and Ireland; work independently and as part of a team; Comfortable working across cross-cultural boundaries and all levels of an organisation

**We’re looking for a Competition Policy Trainee in Amsterdam for 6 months starting July 2026** The Competition Policy Trainee is an exciting role in the Legal and Corporate Affairs team of Liberty Global. You will be supporting the Competition Policy team in providing legal advice relating to competition law, regulation, and M&A.
