Together, these teams build thoughtful, scalable programs across cash and equity compensation, grounded in strong governance and disciplined stewardship. Partnering closely with Finance, Legal, and People leaders, the teams develop competitive compensation programs and equity frameworks that align our people with OpenAI’s long-term success. About the Role We are hiring a Compensation Analyst, Equity and Executive Compensation to join OpenAI’s People team. This individual contributor role sits at the intersection of compensation, analytics, and finance, supporting thoughtful pay decisions through rigorous modeling, benchmarking, reporting, and decision support, with a focus on equity and executive compensation programs. You will own key cross-functional analytical projects that inform compensation design, pay recommendations, budgets and forecasts, grant sizing, equity usage, dilution, and stock-based compensation considerations. You will navigate ambiguous problems, build repeatable tools and processes, and translate complex, sensitive data into clear recommendations and executive-ready materials. This role is ideal for someone with strong compensation fundamentals, analytical depth, sound judgment, and a collaborative approach to solving complex, sensitive problems. This role reports to our Head of Equity Programs. In this role you will: - Support pay design for new-hire, refresh, promotion, recognition, retention, and executive programs through quantitative analysis and thoughtful recommendations. - Build and maintain analytical models for compensation programs, including pay outcomes, equity grants, equity usage, dilution, stock-based compensation, budgets, and scenario planning. - Drive key cross-functional
