Valid Arizona Driver License, Reliable personal transportation, Ability to communicate in Spanish, May need to communicate clearly, May need to perceive details of objects that are close by, May need to maintain various physical positions for extended periods, such as sitting, standing, or walking, May involve using hands for tasks such as typing, handling objects, or operating tools, May involve reaching with hands and arms, Occasionally, the employee may be required to move or lift objects weighing up to 20 pounds, Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these functions, May be reassigned to other locations based upon the needs of the department, Must completely and fully answer any questions regarding felony and misdemeanor convictions including any convictions that have been expunged or set aside, Background and/or fingerprint check required
What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Bachelor’s degree in Social Work or a closely related field, Valid Arizona Driver License, Reliable personal transportation
Nice to Have
2-3 years of experience in mental health, behavioral health, or child welfare systems, Experience working as a Probation Officer and/or Surveillance Officer, Familiarity with the juvenile or adult court systems, Experience with Phoenix area child welfare and mental health systems, Ability to communicate in Spanish
What You'll Do.
Provides coordination of services to children and families involved with Juvenile Probation
Serves as a liaison between the court
other agencies and community providers
Actively participates in case staffing processes to assist in the development of intervention priorities and case plans
Identify types of communication strategies needed to eliminate barriers and facilitate comprehensive service delivery for children and their families
Develops a comprehensive knowledge of the continuum of community-based services and resources appropriate to the individual needs of court-involved children and their families
Prepares reports and case updates for court review and consideration
Works in close collaboration with contracted treatment providers
Arizona Health Care System (AHCCCS) plan liaisons
Department of Child Safety (DCS) and other community agencies
Use knowledge and experience to determine solutions for the most difficult cases
Serves as an information source to the Judicial Bench
contract attorneys and Department of Child Safety (DCS) on service provision processes for the Court-involved children
Completes electronic case documentation
Facilitates and/or attend targeted problem-solving staffing for the Court
May be assigned the development
and management of special projects and/or various programmatic activities
Provides access to information on a variety of child development
child health and parenting topics
How You'll Work.
Team & Collaboration
Collaboration with the court, contracted/community providers, and other agencies; Works in close collaboration with contracted treatment providers, Arizona Health Care System (AHCCCS) plan liaisons, Department of Child Safety (DCS) and other community agencies; Make and maintain effective working relationships with other staff, agencies, and community resource providers
Communication Scope
Communicating verbally and in writing with others to convey information effectively
