A minimum of three years of experience in community organizing/engagement, or related, Bachelor's degree or equivalent, Or an equivalent combination of education & experience.

Three to five years of community organizing/engagement experience, Knowledge of and experience working within Jefferson County’s neighborhoods and community groups, Experience in civics, democracy, elections or a related field, Bilingual ability in Spanish strongly preferred, Experience and comfort engaging community members in various formats, including one on one, small groups, and public settings, Ability to articulate clearly and effectively to stakeholders with diverse backgrounds in a variety of professional to informal settings

The **Coordinator** will reach out to community members and create opportunities for them to engage and be a part of our civic fabric. This role will be crucial to increasing community trust and involving Jeffco residents in defining the county’s future. The work will focus on engagement around county elections, as well as several other front-facing county services. The Community Engagement Coordinator will work to develop and implement initiatives that increase accessibility and transparency with a focus on practices that promote equity, diversity, and inclusion. This position must protect privacy and confidentiality. **Schedule** : This position is largely a 4-day workweek with 10-hr days but requires a flexible schedule with some weekend and evening work as community events require. During some parts of the year, up to one day a week of remote work may be available.
