What You'll Do.

Troubleshoot on analog and digital optics

Support connectivity to the node

Troubleshoot channelized and non-channelized optical signals

Use software and application-based tools for troubleshooting

Isolate and resolve fiber optic signal impairments

Inspect fiber optic equipment during troubleshooting

Perform construction maintenance duties

Splice aerial/underground coaxial cable and equipment

Restore cable plant to system splices

Activate new coaxial plant

Repair/replace damaged aerial/underground coaxial cable

repair and/or replace power supplies

Respond to damage scenarios

Initiate fixes for damage scenarios

Communicate and arrange appropriate fix agents

Resolve complex network issues

Track and repair leakage

Check in each job in a timely manner

Record all details of the work

Complete associated paperwork with each work order

Respond to and repair service interruptions

Troubleshooting efforts may include the use of software and application-based tools. * Able to isolate and resolve fiber optic signal impairments for Hybrid Fiber Coax (HFC) and Ethernet Passive Optical Network (EPON) networks.
