Communications Specialist, Mid **The Opportunity****:** Key to an organization’s growth is strong stakeholder communication that represents and supports its mission, values, and objectives. As a communications professional, you know how to inform and engage key audiences and help drive organizational outcomes. We’re looking for an energetic communications specialist like you, who is ready to grow and willing to win for the client and live our mission every day. Here, you’ll advance your skills to design, develop, produce, and advise on a variety of internal communication materials and media that supports national security-related mission objectives. As a communications specialist on our team, you’ll closely impact the development of creative solutions to complex problems. Your self-guided yet collaborative spirit will shape and nurture relationships with team members, stakeholders, and clients as you develop and implement communications strategies that inform, educate, and inspire the client's workforce, convey information about critical client initiatives, and highlight key outcomes to senior leadership. As a collaborator on all aspects of verbal and written communications, you will perform a variety of duties, including creating and implementing communications plans to gain employee buy-in of client initiatives, drafting and editing internal and enterprise-wide news and information to inform the client's workforce such as regular newsletters, announcements, leadership messages, and articles, developing and managing content for the client's website such as event notices, articles, and leadership messages, and creating collateral content, as needed. You will also be responsible, with your team, for coordinating, publicizing, and running periodic events such as All Hands or town hall meetings to highlight programs and initiatives of importance to the client and its workforce.
