****Job Description:**** An opportunity for a **Strategic Commodity Manager (Communications Systems)** has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). The selected candidate will join the **Communications Commodity Team** within the TAOP (Procurement, Supply Chain, and Logistics) organization. This position manages systems procurement for all ADS platforms, including UAS and FCAS, providing a unique and wide vision of current and future business. You will develop structural relationships with well-established worldwide suppliers (such as Honeywell, Thales Aerospace Communications) and lead Multifunctional Teams (MFT) with members from Engineering, Finance, PMO, and Quality. It is an exciting time to join a transnational, digital, and highly impactful procurement team that maximizes synergies to continuously improve and deliver results. **RESPONSIBILITIES** The main tasks of the jobholder will be: * **Establish, implement, and monitor** a robust Commodity strategy for your perimeter, ensuring a deep understanding of the market, cost drivers, global pricing, and technology evolution. * **Lead and coordinate** the Sub-Commodity Multi-Functional Team (MFT) to safeguard successful management, secure lines, and enable value-for-money proposals. * **Manage** supplier relationships, risk assessments, supplier financial analysis, and supplier-related development programs (such as SED and Vendor Management). * **Drive** to conclusion bids, tenders, and supplier selection processes, including making or buying business cases. * **Lead negotiations** and set up contractual agreements with suppliers, covering both existing contract management and new long-term contracts to meet program expectations. * **Contribute** to Procurement and Value Creation projects aimed at delivering synergies, cost savings, and fostering innovation. **SKILLS** Is your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
