Login to your McGill Workday account and apply to this posting using the Find Jobs report (type Find Jobs in the search bar).** **Hiring Unit:** Department of Pathology **Position Summary:** * Coordinate and schedule scientific lecture series and departmental events, including Research Day. * Organize catering for events and specific event related purchases * Manage departmental purchasing and maintain records of transactions * Monitor and respond to inquiries via the department’s general communication email for upcoming events. * Manage the Department Website * Draft reports (annual reports etc.) * Assist in the creation and distribution of the department newsletter. * Support day-to-day operations and special projects as assigned by the Chair. * Support the chair with Departmental activities **Other Qualifying Skills and/or Abilities** * Proven communications and events experience, preferably in an academic or healthcare setting. * Excellent organizational and time management skills. * Strong written and verbal communication abilities. * Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and email/calendar tools. * Ability to work independently and handle multiple priorities. * Knowledge of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences policies would be an asset. **_Before applying, please note that to work at McGill University, you must be both authorized to work in Canada and willing to work in the province of Quebec at the campus where the position is based / located._** **_Knowledge of English: McGill University is an English-language university where day to day duties may require English communication both verbally
