Reporting to the **Global Commodity Management Director** , in this role you will be Responsible for supporting the development, implementation and management of global strategies to provide Flex segments and business groups with optimal supply assurance, pricing, flexibility, quality and delivery performance (focus on Mechanical commodities). Working closely with the Supply Chain team / Local Management, the Commodity Manager will communicate and implement strategies, contracts and pricing to all regions with an overall focus on maintaining good supplier relationships and costs to a minimum to achieve maximum advantage for the company and its customers. **What a typical day looks like:** * _Establish and manage long term strategic and core supplier relationships and will engage with Flex sites and business segments_ * _Guide the selection, development and management of Core and Strategic Suppliers to meet commodity costs and performance goals_ * _Organize and manage the commodity team with a focus on talent acquisition, retention and development and performance appraisal._ * _Implement programs for supplier selection, supplier performance management and supply base optimization_ * _Provide Quotation centers with support from core and strategic suppliers to obtain timely quotes_ * _Monitor current commodity market conditions, technology
