****Job Description:**** An opportunity for a **Commodity Manager** has arisen within Airbus Defence and Space, Getafe (Madrid). ### The selected candidate will join the **Strategic Sourcing Team**. The department is in charge of orchestrating and executing end-to-end strategic sourcing initiatives for assigned product categories or service groups. The team is multicultural, multidisciplinary, and works in close contact with multiple departments. The jobholder will reinforce our Procurement organization, taking part in driving total cost of ownership (TCO) reductions, mitigating supply chain risks, and ensuring uncompromising quality standards to foster high-value strategic partnerships that align with the organization's long-term business goals. ### RESPONSIBILITIES The main tasks of the jobholder will be: * **Design and implement** comprehensive, long-term category strategies and sourcing roadmaps aligned with corporate financial and operational objectives. * **Lead complex, high-stakes negotiations** regarding pricing, contractual terms, and Service Level Agreements (SLAs) to deliver measurable cost savings. * **Manage supplier relationships** (SRM) by identifying, vetting, and onboarding best-in-class suppliers, driving continuous improvement through rigorous performance reviews. * **Conduct deep-dive market intelligence** and analysis to anticipate price volatility, commodity trends, and macroeconomic shifts. * **Proactively mitigate supply chain risks** by implementing robust contingency plans to ensure business continuity and supply security. * **Act as a strategic partner** and lead cross-functional alignment with Engineering, Quality, Finance, Programs, and Operations to integrate business needs into the sourcing strategy. ### SKILLS Is your profile aligned to the following list of skills?
