A Commissioning Project Engineer (CxPE) supports the delivery of data center capacity through managing project milestone auditing, calibration, and commissioning execution for new construction and Capital Improvement Projects (CIPP). This position is part of a career development program, which aims to develop the CxPE into a Commissioning Engineer (CxE) through a three-phase mentoring program. AWS Infrastructure Services owns the design, planning, delivery, and operation of all AWS global infrastructure. In other words, we’re the people who keep the cloud running. We support all AWS data centers and all of the servers, storage, networking, power, and cooling equipment that ensure our customers have continual access to the innovation they rely on. Key job responsibilities The key responsibility of a Project Engineer is to develop a detailed understanding of AWS critical infrastructure. You will learn the fundamentals related to managing a commissioning project within AWS. As part of this process you will work with different team members who will introduce you to the internal project management tools. You will then progress to the on the job phase where you will participate in the on-site commissioning activities.
