What They're Looking For.
Must Have
Minimum two (2) years’ experience in costing and quoting, Post-secondary education in Business or Commerce, or equivalent education and experience
Nice to Have
automotive or related manufacturing experience
What You'll Do.
Responds to customer request for quotes (RFQs) and engineering changes with cost and timing
Creates and maintains excellent customers relations
Works closely with other departments to analyze profitability using optimum manufacturing/design techniques via Magna Structures Meadowvale Engineering Change Process
Identifies and propose cost improvement opportunities
Expands customers awareness of Magna Structures Meadowvale and our capabilities to implement changes and to develop a trusting and respectful relationship with our customers
Suggest and implement improvements to internal process
information and procedures
Assists in developing and maintaining a quote model and pricing strategy
Maintains cost and sales reports for tracking and overall program profitability
Knows and understands process documents and customer specific requirements as they relate to this job function
Coordinates and supports commercial customer audits
Creates and maintains Tooling and Capex budget
Reviews and submits customer Steel Resale program material forms
Follows and complies with all Operational Procedures and Policies as outlined in the Employee Handbook
Quality and Environment programs (i. e.
promote and live by Magna’s philosophies and Employee Charter
Adheres to Magna’s core values
